Lolita Martini Glasses

Being the huge chocolate lover that I am, I knew the chocolatini martini glass by Lolita would be great for my sweet tooth. Now I'm not really a huge martini fan, but I had never tried a flavored one before or made one. But it was actually very easy to make since the recipe was painted on the bottom of the glass.

I had a few friends over this weekend and made up a batch of chocolatinis. Everyone was impressed with my martini making skills and loved the drink. It wasn't like a normal, dry martini, it had a lot of sweet flavor. It was chocolaty with a hint of vanilla that was very tasty with the whipped cream topping.

My friends also thought the Lolita martini glass was cute and unique, they had never seen anything like it before. They really liked the idea of having a decorated hand-painted glass with their favorite drink recipe on the bottom, so that they would never lose it.

The Skipping Stone has hand-painted martini glasses available in many different styles and flavors. I already know which ones I'm getting my friends this holiday season.

Hanging Wall Picture Frame

The brown and clementine hanging wall picture frame made a great addition to my living room. The colors matched perfectly with my room's décor and also gave it a nice fall touch, which looks great with the fall decorations I just put out.

I put a picture of some my close friends in it and hung it right on the wall, above my TV. It's not like any of the other frames I have around my house. The frame is made of wood and decorated with brown and orange textured paper and hangs on the wall from a beautiful brown and green bow. But the most unique feature to the frame is that the picture is held in place behind plexi-glass with a nut and bolt system. Unlike most frames, the photo can be changed from the front of the frame, making it easier to replace photos.

This unique frame would look good in any room and would be perfect for a fall birthday or housewarming gift!

Wood Wick Fireside Candles

My house is filled with different scented candles, and I just love the way they smell. I thought I knew all about the different candles out there, but was I wrong. I had never heard of a candle with a wooden wick that actually makes the crackling sound of a real fire. Wood Wick fireside candles were something I needed to find out about, so I took a couple home.
I put the aqua fireside candle in my kitchen and the amaretto latte fireside candle in the upstairs loft. They both smell great and their fragrances travel throughout the entire house. But the best thing about these candles is the sound they make. They actually sound like a fire crackling and popping. That soothing sound of a nice, warm, crackling fire can now be produced from a single candle.
Another great feature of the candle is that it burns clean and even. Most jar candles I have burn downwards, leaving a hole in the wax where the wick is. But the fireside candles burned evenly, and I didn't really have to trim the wick. I just brushed off the burnt wood and dumped the ash into the trash.
Since the candles burn up to 180 hours, I still have a lot of time to enjoy my fireside candles. These would make perfect housewarming gifts or birthday gifts.
