All products are not made directly by our women, yet the proceeds of the company helps us reach our goal of creating as many jobs as possible. About the Founders
Greg and Abhineeta Matney:
The Matneys co-founded a non-profit called Aatma Vikas in India. Aatma Vikas helps those in vulnerable positions find hope through vocational training centers. Aatma Vikas has seen over 1000 graduates, and still expanding. Greg has a background in connecting businesses with missions. Abhineeta received her masters degree in criminal law and international studies and currently pursuing a doctorate in international studies. Greg and Abhineeta have two beautiful children, Usha and Aden.
You might not know that Greg has stellar rapping abilities and Abhineeta is a certified yoga instructor.
Matthew has always had a passion for products with a purpose and background in running business. He worked at Taylor University, directing their campus stores for five years. Matthew received his MBA in 2011, before moving to Ecuador to start developing a social business. Matt is married to his better half Corrie, and they have two joy filled children, Faith and Caleb.
You might not know that Matt is middle child of nine.
About the Launch
During the summer of 2014, they all reconnected and started sharing about a dream to launch a business that would help bring freedom from poverty to individuals, while helping nonprofits become self-sustaining. The Matneys were living in India and Matthew, in Ecuador at that time. The Skipping Stone was eventually launched in the fall of 2015. Currently all co-founders live in Parker, Colorado.
